Bath lifts enable someone to transfer in and out of the bath safely. They are generally a plastic seat with bathrest which can be lowered into the bath and raised to the level of the bath top normally via a battery operated handset. You will need to be able to walk up to the bathlift and sit on the side of the bath and lift your legs over the side of the bath. You will need to remember that the bathlift will not enable you to fully immerse in the bath, even at its lowest you will still not be at the bottom of the bath.

Consideration to the size of the bath, if the bath is short in length this may restrict you to sit comfortably in the bath. Also give consideration to the shape of the bath and position of the taps.
