Raised toilet seats are used to make transfers on and off the toilet easier and safer for the person. These are a plastic moulded insert used to raise the height of the toilet whilst securing fastening to the toilet bowl. Heights can include 2", 4" or 6".

Consideration to the height; ensure that your feet can comfortably reach the floor. If you tend to sit heavily onto the seat this can cause the fittings to come loose so you may need to think about a grab rail or frame to be able to lower yourself in a controlled way onto the seat. Weight limits apply, and check the manufacturer's guidance for fitting. Also think about other family members that will be using the toilet.
