Things to Consider
If a bedside commode or wheelchair is used, careful consideration should go into positioning to avoid blocking of transfers.
Fitting/position of equipment to be checked regularly by carer/or Service User.
Consider weight limit of equipment.
Wires/tubes should be hidden to avoid tripping.
Need power point near bed.
Compressor can be noisy - consider other house occupants.
Consider position of carer if assistance is required for transfers.
