Cruse Bereavement Support

Cruse Bereavement Support provides people (including children and young people) with support after the death of someone close. Support sessions include: Understanding Your Bereavement Session (Zoom), Ongoing one to one telephone or Zoom sessions, or group Zoom sessions. St Barnabas

Bereavement support is available to any adult affected by grief, not just the family and friends of those cared for by the Hospice. 

Support is available on the St Barnabas Bereavement Helpline, within bereavement groups or one to one counselling sessions. To access support, the helpline is open between 11am and 3pm, Monday to Friday on 0300 303 1897 or email counselling.services@stbarnabashospice.co.uk

 

Lincolnshire Centre for Grief and Loss (LCGL) Counselling and Training Services

LCGL offers counselling to adults and support groups that provide an opportunity to meet and chat with others who have experienced loss in their lives. A self-referral form can be obtained by calling the office on 01522 546168 or visit the Lincolnshire Centre for Grief and Loss website. 

 

Amparo 

If you’ve been affected by suicide, Amparo can help. For practical and emotional support, or to refer yourself or someone you know for counselling, call the Lincolnshire service on 03300 889255 or visit the Amparo website to make a referral. One of the experienced Lincolnshire-based liaison workers will contact you within 24 hours to discuss support. 

 

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS)

SOBS runs virtual and face to face peer support groups, a support line, an email service and a global forum for people aged 18 and over. For the support line call 0300 111 5065 (Monday and Tuesday, 9am-5pm), visit Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide for the nearest group and more information, or email: email.support@uksobs.org

Coroners Courts Support Service

Winston's Wish

Winston's Wish offers support and guidance to bereaved children and families. For specialist support call 0808 802 0021 between 8am-8pm, weekdays or email ask@winstonswish.org

Cruse Bereavement Support

Cruse Bereavement Support offers telephone, email and website support for people all ages, including a freephone national helpline and local services, and a website specifically for children and young people. Call the helpline on 07900 317732 or email Lincoln@cruse.org.uk

 

Lincolnshire Centre for Grief and Loss (LCGL) Counselling and Training Services

LCGL provides counselling to children and young people (aged 7-19 years). Referrals can be made by calling 01522 546168 or download a referral form from the Lincolnshire Centre for Grief and Loss website.

Samaritans provides emotional support to anyone who is struggling to cope and needs someone to listen. Call the 24-hour support service on 116 123.

Practical and emotional help
