Volunteering

Volunteering is choosing to do something for the benefit of others, or for your community or the environment, without being paid to do it. Volunteering is open to anyone and can bring great personal rewards. We believe that everyone has a valuable contribution to make to society.

Volunteering is a great way to:

  • Meet people
  • Gain work experience
  • Make a difference
  • Do something you’re passionate about
  • Fill some spare time
  • Help people
  • Get involved in your local community
  • Try something new
  • Enjoy yourself

You could be a befriender, treasurer, coach, first responder, wildlife or conservation volunteer…the possibilities are endless. If you are looking for something to do then there are lots of organisations that would appreciate your time!

The Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) alongside Voluntary Centre Services (VCS) and the Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team (LVET), launched a new digital platform supporting volunteering across the county. Register your interest in volunteering through Lincolnshire Volunteers.teamkinetic.co.uk or use the link to search for opportunities without committing any information.  Find your local Volunteer Centre on the Lincolnshire Volunteering website.

You can also find information about how to apply to become a volunteer through the Lincolnshire County Council website.

Also search for volunteering opportunities upon the national volunteering website www.doit.life/volunteering

There are also many organisations that need volunteers to take part in or to raise money for research, such as Parkinson’s research, Dementia research, Cancer research, Multiple Sclerosis research, and Mental Health research.
