Carers Active April

As a carer, your wellbeing is very important.  Staying active can support both your physical and mental health, whilst you support someone else. Carers Active April is a national campaign to help carers be active, and organisations across Lincolnshire will be supporting those with caring responsibilities to take some time to look after their own wellbeing, through getting out and active.

Throughout April, activities will be taking place across Lincolnshire to  help carers to become more active and to highlight the importance of keeping moving and try new ways to fit activity into daily life.

15th April 2026 - Carers Active Together

Carers across the country are invited to take part in activity together as part of a national movement organised by Carers UK. Carers Active Together is all about promoting movement, wellbeing and the power of community for unpaid carers across the country.

"We’re inviting everyone who looks after someone to join us by being active in a way that feels positive, refreshing and recharging for you - whether that’s something gentle at home, joining an online session, going for a short walk, or taking part in a local activity."

For more information, visit the Carers UK website

Do you look after someone?

If you're an unpaid carer aged 16 and over and supporting someone in Lincolnshire, the Lincolnshire Carers Service is here to help with online help and advice, as well as 1-2-1 practical and emotional support.

You don’t have to wait until crisis point before asking for help - the earlier you ask, the bigger difference it can make.

If you would like to speak to someone about your caring role and discuss what support may be available to you, please call the Lincolnshire County Council Carer Wellbeing Hub on 01522 782224 or fill in the Request for Support form.
