Gut health
Many people with ME/CFS also experience digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome. A summary of a review study published on 1st March 2024 is available on the ME Research website. The review study aimed to enhance understanding of the role that the gut microbiome - the trillions of microbes, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi which inhabit the gut - may play in ME/CFS.
For people with energy limiting conditions, there may be much to gain from understanding their own gut health. Every-One have produced a podcast, hosted on Podbean, about Optimising your gut health.
