Internal Threshold Ramp

Benefits
A threshold ramp is an inclined plane that creates a smooth continuous platform from one walking surface to another. It is used when there is a difference in height between the walking surface and the threshold of a hinged or sliding door. Threshold ramps can be both temporary or permanent solutions. The type of threshold ramp you need will depend on your personal circumstances and may require an adaptation to be made to your home.
Things to consider
- Consider using another door, buy a grab rail, or repair or replace the door threshold; you may need to replace the door with a level threshold door, or a threshold ramp.
- Consideration should be given to the gradient on the threshold ramp, and the walking aid / wheelchair you are using - call LCC's Customer Service Centre for a further conversation.
