A stair lift could be a solution to overcoming difficulties on the stairs; it is a powered device that takes you up and down stairs.

• If the person has some cognitive difficulties or requires a higher level of support with walking, a stairlift may not be the solution as the risks of using it could outweigh the benefits; please call LCC's Customer Service Centre for a conversation.
• The cost of a stairlift may vary depending on whether you have a straight or curved flight of stairs, and you will also need to consider ongoing costs such as servicing and repairs.
