A battery operated light that is fitted onto the toilet bowl, to light up the toilet bowl at night when there is low light and motion is detected.

You can find these in some shops which sell lightbulbs or search for 'toilet bowl light' on the internet.

• Night-time safety: Lights up the toilet bowl through detection of low light and motion. It can also reduce the risk of tripping and accidents.
• Less interruptions to sleep: By not having to turn on a main light it means that the sleep cycle isn't interrupted as much making it easier to get back to sleep.

• Battery Life: Most use batteries so will need replacing periodically. Check if rechargeable batteries can be used. Who will replace or recharge batteries?
• Suitability: Check that the model will fit with the toilet, many models say that they will fit any toilet. Make sure the light is waterproof/water resistant. Check reviews and make sure the sensor will work in the right way to avoid issues such as the sensor turning on unnecessarily or not working when required.
• Maintenance: Think about who will clean the device as it can collect dust or be splashed during use.
