Local Drug Information System

Local Drug Information System

Use the Local Drug Information System (LDIS) reporting form to tell us about any new, potent or contaminated drugs circulating in Lincolnshire that might threaten people's health or lives.

The availability, strength and contamination of illegal drugs changes all the time. As these drugs are illegal, we don’t have much information about what is being sold locally. This means we may not know the risks until after a serious or fatal incident happens.

You can use the LDIS reporting form to tell us about:

  • potentially new, potent, adulterated or contaminated substances circulating among people who use drugs in Lincolnshire
  • substances that could be causing concern among people who use drugs or resulting in more harm than usual

You should still report a concern even if you are unsure of all the details.

Local Drug Information System reporting form

The Local Drug Information System reporting form is for providers of substance use treatment and recovery support, allied health, social care, criminal justice and housing professionals who work with people who use drugs and alcohol. It can also be used by people who use drugs and their families.

What happens when you raise a concern?

The local drug-related information sharing system is co-ordinated by Lincolnshire’s Public Health team.

They will look at the details you provide and share your concerns with the relevant agencies to assess the risk of harm to the public and work out the best way of keeping people safe from drug-related harm.
