Myfolks Ltd

Myfolks provides practical and emotional support for elderly people.  We aim to provide support, working collaboratively with family members, to keep elderly people living well in their own homes.

This is based on our own experience of supporting our elderly parents.  We needed flexible, short notice help, preferably provided by only one or two Myfolksers.  We found it really difficult to predict when something would be needed - some shopping, a hospital appointment, getting rid of the old food in the fridge, helping them get the TV on the right channel.  Most of all, the reassurance and stimulation of a cuppa and a good chat, or a jigsaw, a bit of music, a crossword to help drive out social isolation, and to take a bit of pressure off the family carers.

All our Myfolksers have an enhanced DBS check, references etc.  Most of all, they can communicate well in the language of the client, and they have compassion.  We wouldn't send someone to you that we wouldn't send to our parents.

Our visits are booked in one hour slots.  We don't rush in and out of the house.
