Unlock
Unlock is a national independent charity set up in 2000 by a group of former prisoners. We support, speak up and campaign for people facing stigma, prejudice and discrimination because of their criminal record.
We are the leading, trusted 'go to' place for people with a criminal record who are looking for information, advice and support. Our helpline deals with over 10,000 enquiries each year and is run by fully trained advisors who all have a lived experience of the criminal justice system.
Our website has comprehensive information on a wide range of topics that may impact somebody with a criminal record.
Building a fairer future for people with criminal records
Our mission is to support & advocate for people with criminal records in England and Wales to be able to move on positively in their lives.
