Dragonfly Cancer Trust

Dragonfly Cancer Trust is a UK national charity dedicated to supporting children and young people (aged 0–25) living with a life‑limiting or terminal cancer diagnosis and their families. The organisation works closely with hospitals, hospices and specialist cancer treatment centres throughout the UK to ensure that every available moment can be meaningful and filled with comfort, connection, and cherished memories.

The Trust’s core focus is on memory‑making and emotional support. It provides personalised support through cash gifts that help families create special experiences together, memory and sibling boxes designed to foster connection and comfort, and creative activity boxes that offer distraction and therapeutic engagement during treatment. Dragonfly also helps families create hand‑crafted keepsakes such as engraved glass hearts and other personalised mementos that can be treasured long after treatment ends.

Support is tailored to the needs of young people living with palliative cancer, helping them spend quality time with loved ones, express themselves, and focus on life beyond the illness. The charity’s services aim to reduce isolation and provide emotional support during some of the most challenging times for families.

The Trust accepts referrals directly from families, healthcare professionals, and care teams, and operates on a nationwide basis from its base in Newcastle upon Tyne.
