Saxilby u3a

U3A stands for The University of the Third Age. However, don’t be put off, as we do not have a Campus or issue degrees. We are for those who are no longer in full time employment and follow our ethos of LEARN, LAUGH AND LIVE.

Saxilby U3A meet at 10am to 12:pm every third Thursday of the month, in Saxilby Village Hall for tea/coffee and a biscuit, and a chat, followed at 10.30 by a speaker. The speakers are from all walks of life and as such bring a myriad of interesting subjects. Recent talks have been on Lincolnshire’s wildlife to the History of the Jazz Piano. It doesn’t cost much to join only £20, reducing as the year goes on, or £2 for a visitor.

At the monthly meeting you can meet team leaders from our 27 diverse groups, and if you are interested they will explain how their group operates. Interests range from Badminton to Cribbage and from Quizzing to Wine Appreciation, to mention but a few. There may be a small charge for certain activities to cover the cost of the hire of the venue.
