Headway Lincolnshire
Headway Lincolnshire is a local charity that provides information, services and support to brain injury survivors and their families in the aftermath of a life changing event.
- 1:1 Counselling for Brain Injury Survivors, their Carers and family members. Delivered remotely.
- Publications relating to the practical aspects of brain injury.
- Training Courses to improve knowledge and understanding among professionals working in the field of Brain Injury.
- 6 weekly education groups for brain injury survivors and those caring for them, to better understand their brain injury and its effects.
- Peer support groups in Lincoln, Boston, Grantham and Spalding for brain injury survivors and their families to meet others in similar situations.
- One off assessment either in the home or via MS Teams / Zoom. We will look at signposting and referring to services if required.
- Armed Forces and Veterans Social Support Groups, both face to face and remotely.
- Art, Music and Laughter Therapy sessions.
- Support with applying for a Brain Injury Identity Card.
- Monthly Carers Support Group on Zoom.
- Weekly 'Together from Home' Zooms, every Thursday morning.
- Wellbeing Activity Packs sent out monthly by post.
- Keeping in Touch - Weekly contact by phone or text with our Development Worker or a volunteer, to chat.
