About Us

Good Home Lincs is brought to you by the Lincolnshire Good Home Alliance.

The Alliance is a group of organisations and teams in Lincolnshire who are working together to help support residents to maintain, improve and adapt their home to help all people in the county be safe, warm and well in their homes.

The Alliance includes Lincolnshire County Council, Lincolnshire district councils and other organisations such as health services and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

Background

The Centre for Ageing Better, a national charity, identified the impact that poor quality, unsuitable and cold homes have on people’s health and wellbeing and outlined how services could help people with housing related problems.

The Centre for Ageing Better carried out some research, the Good Home Inquiry: The Good Home Inquiry | Centre for Ageing Better (ageing-better.org.uk) describing how services could help people with their homes.

Since the report was published, the Centre for Ageing Better have partnered with Lincolnshire to see how some of their recommendations could be put into practice.

Following some work with Lincolnshire residents and local services, one of the actions identified as helpful was to collect information and advice on home and housing related issues, and details about the services which could help into one place: Good Home Lincs.
