To help you complete the Healthy Home Assessment: Picture Directory / Quick Reference Guide
To help you complete the Healthy Home Assessment, we have provided a visual guide which may help you understand what some of the questions are asking. Each named section has pictures which help demonstrate what is being asked by the questions in the assessment and shows you what sorts of things you might need to look for in your home. Click on the link below:
Picture Directory / Quick Reference Guide
The pictures can be viewed at the top of each section, as well as in a PDF document, by clicking on the link in each section. You can open the picture directory in a separate tab, so that you can view it whilst completing the Healthy Home Assessment.
Alternatively, you may find it helpful to use the Healthy Home Assessment pictures as a quick reference guide to spot specific problems with your home. Use the pictures for a particular area of your home, and find the accompanying information to help you identify problems and direct you to useful resources.
What is a hazard?
A hazard is something that has the potential to cause an accident or injury. We can live with hazards in our home without even knowing until something goes wrong, or someone gets hurt. Taking a proactive approach to keeping your home safe and well maintained is a great way to make sure your home is a safe place to live, and to prevent unexpected bills and problems from happening in the future.
