South Holland District Council

Social housing is available in South Holland District Council. 

You can apply for social housing which includes council houses, sheltered accommodation or housing via one of our registered providers. 

Your application will be assessed by the Allocations Team.  You will either be accepted or declined.  If you are declined you will be told why and given an opportunity to request a review.

Before you apply, you will need to use the Housing Register evidence checklist to make sure you have all the correct documentation to support your application.

Boston Borough Council and East Lindsey District Council

Boston Borough Council and East Lindsey District Council have developed a joint Housing Register system and Housing Allocations policy for both authorities. This means there is only one online application to complete for one or both areas. Qualification and banding for each authority may differ dependent upon the applicant's local connection.

Applicants are urged to check the eligibility criteria by accessing the BBC ELDC Joint Housing Allocation Scheme 2021 (PDF, 677 KB) before completing a housing application.

West Lindsey District Council

West Lindsey Home Choices is the housing system that allows people to apply for social rented housing within West Lindsey or look at the different options available to them.

North Kesteven District Council and City of Lincoln Council

If you want to apply for housing (Council and Housing Association owned) in Lincoln or North Kesteven you will need to register with Lincs Homefinder.

You can do this by going to the website Lincs Homefinder or by contacting the authority where you currently live.

If you don’t already live in Lincoln or North Kesteven then you need to contact the authority where you wish to move to.

South Kesteven District Council

South Kesteven District Council accepts new applications for social housing via the online portal called SK Home Choice.

Once your new application has been submitted, you will be prompted to upload supporting evidence. Failure to provide this evidence will result in your application being cancelled.

Occupancy rights

It explains some of your rights as tenants. It does not cover the occupancy rights of long-leaseholders and shared ownership leaseholders of social housing landlords.
