Lincolnshire Home Independence Agency helps older people and people with disabilities to make sure your home is in good repair, to improve security and to do repairs and improvements for you. The agency runs a Handy Person scheme to tackle small jobs around your home, and a Trusted Tradesman scheme where every member is vetted to ensure they operate in a legal, decent, honest and fair way. If you can’t afford the cost of repairs and improvements, the agency will help you to look at other options.
If you are aged 50 years and over, Age UK can give you information about local tradespeople who can help you. They can also arrange a minor repair service, for example to help with fitting door bells, locks and safety devices, replace light bulbs, smoke alarm batteries, etc. There is a charge for this service
If you are an older person who wants support to maintain your home and you live in the Stamford or Bourne area, the Evergreen Care Trust may be able to help you through their home support service
