Lincolnshire Library Services

Lincolnshire Libraries offer a welcoming, safe space with free access to computers, the internet and a wealth of physical and digital books, information and resources to anyone who lives, works or studies in the county. In Lincolnshire there are 15 core library sites and 34 community hubs offering universal and  rural services.

Community Support

Your local library offers a range of community support services, groups, IT support sessions and free guidance for anyone within our communities.

Digital Services

There is always something new to discover. Explore the large and growing collection of eBooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers, Audiobooks, and Music.  Manage your account, search the catalogue, renew and reserve books online. You can borrow up to 10 eBooks or eAudiobooks at any one time on Overdrive/Libby and Magazines are unlimited, find out more by visiting Lincolnshire Libraries over drive service. This is all available free with your library card. Apply to join the library via Lincolnshire library membership.

Access to Lincolnshire Libraries are also available from your mobile devices. Download the app via App store or google play here.

Mobile library services

For those who are unable to reach a core Library site or community hub there is a mobile library service.

The Lincolnshire Mobile Library Service offers public access to rural communities throughout Lincolnshire and provides a wide range of books, information, talking books and DVDs to locations throughout the county on a two or four weekly timetable.

The Community Mobile Library delivers collections of books to residential care homes and sheltered housing settings also. Collections are regularly refreshed and can be tailored to suit the needs and interests of residents.

Services for people with limited mobility

If you are unable to leave your home due to mobility or health reasons, then you maybe interested in the Access Mobile library service. This is available to anyone who cannot reach a core staffed library or community hub due to location, health or mobility issues. Operated on a four weekly rota, staff will deliver items right to your door, offering a friendly tailored service to suit your needs.

Reading Well - books on prescription

The Reading Well collections support individuals to understand and manage their health and wellbeing using helpful reading resources.

There are Reading Well collections specifically for children, teens, and adults and those living with or caring for someone with dementia.

You can borrow books from your local library. Many of the Reading Well titles are also available to borrow as e-books and audiobooks.
