Wellbeing Lincs is a countywide service funded by Lincolnshire County Council that supports adults across Lincolnshire to lead fulfilled, confident and independent lives through a range of service elements and support.
It offers a helping hand through life’s challenges so that people can live safely, independently, and be happier at home, where this would be achievable if they are supported with some of these things:
- maintaining a safe and warm home environment
- finding appropriate small aids, or pieces of equipment and fitting them, or making minor alterations
- supporting people to manage their homes and improving their life skills
- managing household budgets
- improving digital skills and the use of technology
- helping those who live with a combination of long-term conditions to maintain or improve quality of life
- help to find and stay in education, training, or work
- building a better support network, social life, or volunteer work
The resources on these Wellbeing Lincs pages and other areas of Connect to Support Lincolnshire, such as Good Home Lincs and Money Talk Lincs, have been designed to help people resolve things for themselves where they can.
However, some people face barriers that make it difficult for them to help themselves. Where this is the case, Wellbeing Lincs responds by undertaking a Trusted Assessment, and providing generic support and guidance tailored to people’s specific needs, wherever they live in Lincolnshire.
Where telecare response, small aids, minor alterations and additional response are required, charges may apply.
Funded by Lincolnshire County Council and run by a partnership of district councils, Wellbeing Lincs may make the world of difference to people, their loved ones and those they care about.
As a preventative service, Wellbeing Lincs aims to:
- enhance wellbeing
- improve people’s access to support services
- reduce and delay escalation to statutory services
- provide direct support and signpost access to community resources
