Wellbeing Lincs

Welcome to Wellbeing Lincs

Wellbeing Lincs is a countywide service funded by Lincolnshire County Council that supports adults across Lincolnshire to lead fulfilled, confident and independent lives through a range of service elements and support.

It offers a helping hand through life’s challenges so that people can live safely, independently, and be happier at home, where this would be achievable if they are supported with some of these things:

  • maintaining a safe and warm home environment
  • finding appropriate small aids, or pieces of equipment and fitting them, or making minor alterations
  • supporting people to manage their homes and improving their life skills
  • managing household budgets
  • improving digital skills and the use of technology
  • helping those who live with a combination of long-term conditions to maintain or improve quality of life
  • help to find and stay in education, training, or work
  • building a better support network, social life, or volunteer work

The resources on these Wellbeing Lincs pages and other areas of Connect to Support Lincolnshire, such as Good Home Lincs and Money Talk Lincs, have been designed to help people resolve things for themselves where they can.

However, some people face barriers that make it difficult for them to help themselves. Where this is the case, Wellbeing Lincs responds by undertaking a Trusted Assessment, and providing generic support and guidance tailored to people’s specific needs, wherever they live in Lincolnshire.

Where telecare response, small aids, minor alterations and additional response are required, charges may apply.

Funded by Lincolnshire County Council and run by a partnership of district councils, Wellbeing Lincs may make the world of difference to people, their loved ones and those they care about.

  • provide direct support and signpost access to community resources.

Our Services

Wellbeing Lincs supports people aged over 18 who live in Lincolnshire to live fulfilled, confident and independent lives.

It achieves this through a range of services, that support them for up to 12 weeks usually, sometimes longer. Wellbeing Lincs works with eligible adults to develop a personalised support plan, to meet their specific needs.

For the individual to be eligible for the service, they must:

  • Be at risk of becoming unable to live independently at home
  • Have barriers to accessing or following written information and advice themselves
  • Need additional support with one or more of the service outcomes

Identified areas may include:

  • Response
  • Small aids and minor alterations

Response

Anyone living in Lincolnshire who uses telecare equipment can choose to have Wellbeing Lincs provide their response service. If the customer raises an alarm, a Wellbeing Lincs Responder can be with them within 60 minutes in cases where there are no family member or other trusted support able to help. This service runs 24/7, 365 days a year, at a cost of £2.77 per week.

Small Aids and Minor Alterations

Sometimes, small adjustments to the home is all that’s needed to support continued independent living, for example, grab rails in the bathroom, a ramp at the door or gadgets to help in the kitchen. With dedicated staff to deliver and install equipment, Wellbeing Lincs provides small aids and can make the necessary minor alterations where required. Customers can be assessed for suitable small aids, which are available to purchase through our service or independently.
