Building a better support network, social life, or volunteer work

Components for a fulfilling, confident and independent life start with your support networks, social life and involvement in volunteering. These support networks provide reassurance, and help during challenging times to build your resilience over time.

Wellbeing Lincs

Support networks are crucial to our feelings of connectivity and social wellbeing. Social groups and befriending build your connections, often with people with lived experience. Having shared experiences can benefit you, and you can receive practical helpful advice and emotional support when connecting in this way.  It’s no surprise therefore that we help our customers become more connected and confident in accessing their local networks.

We will work together to research social and support groups, that interest you, attend an initial session to boost confidence, help to register for and find volunteering opportunities locally.

Voluntary car schemes

Community transport can be provided by a range of services designed to meet the needs of individuals who find it difficult to use traditional public transport through limited mobility.

These services are often provided by voluntary and community sector organisations and are supported by both volunteers and paid staff.

Many community schemes offer options which allow individuals to attend community groups to support their hobbies and interests or easily access their local high street.
