Sign up as a Host

Could you open your home to people who have fled the war in Ukraine?

Hundreds of people in Lincolnshire have generously opened their homes to those fleeing the war in Ukraine. Could you become a host? The people of Ukraine still need you.

Anyone can consider hosting on the Homes for Ukraine scheme as long as they can offer accommodation for a minimum of six months, and those who are successfully matched to Ukrainian guests can claim the optional £350 per month ‘thank you’ payment, rising to £500 per month for guests who have been in the country for over a year.

We have many Ukrainians now established in Lincolnshire who will be seeking new hosts as their current hosting arrangements come to an end. These guests are often already living and settled within their local community, and they may be in work with children in school. This can help to minimise some of the challenges many new hosts on the scheme initially faced, for example supporting guests with connecting to services in the UK such as applying for biometric residence permits, accessing local and public services and opening bank accounts. In addition, the required safeguarding and property checks are free of charge and will be organised by Lincolnshire County Council’s Homes for Ukraine team. Once these checks have been completed, you will be ready to potentially host a person or group.

Steps for host families

We've put together a short video to outline the initial process for hosts welcoming Ukrainian families into their homes. Watch it below or on YouTube.
