Solar panels capture energy from the sun’s rays (even on cloudy days) and convert it to electricity to use in your home, sell back to the grid, or store for later use by using a battery. Solar panels are best set up on south facing roofs. East and west facing roofs will work as well, but installing panels on north facing roofs is not recommended. The benefits of installing panels are that they can help cut your electricity costs and additionally help cut your carbon emissions. 

£££ Installing solar panels (and a battery, if you want the option of storing the power you generate) is expensive, however, there are potential savings on energy costs in the long-term.
